“ I am addicted to Hot Sauce Williams BBQ, but alas they went out of business when the parents died. A good friend said that if I tried Big B's food that I'd forget about Hot Sauce Williams. So I travelled from Houston Texas to Cleveland. I was not disappointed. So I wanted to get some more before returning home. Unfortunately, they closed at 9:00 PM and not at 10:00 as Yelp listed. So standing at the front door I could see the owner sitting there. I called while waving my phone at him. He did pick up. Maybe he should have ignored the call. He was so rude! I asked one question that he answered and as I tried to ask one brief second question (...are you going to be opened tomorrow) he just hung up on me. Too bad to because just a little kindness would have made me a customer for life. ”
“ This is my go to for carry out ribs. I also like the polish boy. While the food is good the owner is not friendly and I've had family members tell me how rude he is and they refuse to go back. If he's ever rude to me I won't go back either. ”
“ I'm from Cleveland but no long live there. It was such a treat to find a place near where I was staying that makes polish boys and bbq wing and fries just like I had growing up. When I moved over 10 years ago, I quickly learned that polish boy and girl sandwiches were specific to the Cleveland area. It was nostalgic to have one after so many years. The owner is so nice and friendly. He is accommodating. This is a great neighborhood, family and Black-owned business in the Cleveland area that I recommend supporting. ”
“ A nice large gentleman took my order by phone and within ten minutes I showed up and he again very personably gave me my pulled pork sandwich, small side of baked beans, and piece of cake for $11. The beans were creamy and sweet but totally average. The cake wasn't dry but was in the fridge. It was I believe a pound cake piece with light glaze and wasn't remarkable in any way at all so I didn't do much more than taste it. Canned soda only for drinks. No dine-in. The $6.50 pulled pork sandwich was sizeable! It came with finely minced cole slaw atop. The pork was well-sauced but lacked any particular sweetness, spice, or tang which would give it character. It was very nondescript barbecue sauce. Brioche bun was mostly soft. Overall entirely average not expensive experience but not worth my precious stomach space to eat again. ”
